The Accutron dynasty began with a man named Max Hetzel. Working with the Bulova Watch Company, Hetzel revolutionized the watch industry by using turning fork technology. For hundred of years, the Accutron watches are designed in America and crafted in Switzerland to suit the exceptional demands of the public. Accutron wristwatches were given to world leaders as a presidential gift, and in 1964 President Lynden Johnson declared Accutron to be the official "Gift of State".
