Embracing the special conditions of watch design, they dedicated their efforts to clarity of design and respect for function and courageously accepted the restrictions of designing an instrument to be worn on the human wrist. Alfred Brodman, Flemming Bo Hansen and Günter Wermekes influenced contemporary notions about watch design.
